Field Manager

Sauchuk Farm, LLC is currently seeking a full-time, seasonal farm manager to help with all aspects of the field operations, including greenhouse construction and operation, field preparation, planting, crop maintanence, harvest, washing/packing, and shipping. The successful candidate will have previous farming experience and be able to work independently and train and coordinate field crews. Strong mechanical aptitude is highly desireable. Pay is commensurate with experience.

Field Workers

Each year Sauchuk Farm, LLC employs 3 to 4 full-time interns or trainees under an international agricultural training program. We have trained/employed young people from Eastern Europe, Central America, and South America. This year, we would like to open up this opportunity to USA citizens, particularly those who already have some experience or education in agriculture. We pay $8.00 per hour and lodging is provided. Weekly hours range from about 35 at the beginning and end of the season (March, April, October) to more than 70 in the summer months. You must be willing and able to work hard and be available to work any time. Hiring decisions are usually made by the end of February. There are some part-time oportunities also available for mature, reliable pickers with their own transportation. Picking blueberries, beans, and peas would be typical tasks, and the pay is by the pound picked. Scheduling is flexible. Please email if you are interested.

Farmstand Workers

Sauchuk Farm, LLC generally hires about 6 employees to staff the farmstand and help with the CSA from May through the end of October. Although we hire some high school and college students, we prefer people who are available from May through the end of October. General knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and flowers is important, as is an understanding how to prepare vegetables. Obviously, we prefer friendly and cheerful people to staff the farmstand. Corn Maze

Sauchuk Farm, LLC hires 20 to 25 part-time workers for the corn maze. Jobs include the following: tractor drivers, cow train operators, corn cops, cashiers, greeters, jumping pillow supervisors, parking crew, and corn cannon operators. You must be available to work on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Columbus Day, from mid-September to the end of October.
